Public Works
The Public Works department stands as a beacon of services for the residents of Kayenta. The department maintains a fully-operable Transfer Station and daily communication with applicable entities within the community. A joint effort is continuously made to improve community services for the people.
There are many facets within this department that contain reasonable services and ongoing efforts are made to create a better working environment between the Public Works staff and the community at large.

(2) Attendants are not required, and should not be expected to assist in unloading, or cleaning up after you. Also, tools (including brooms, pitchforks, etc.) are not available to the public.
Kayenta Township Transfer Station Commercial Collections
The Transfer Station offers; 40, 20, 8 Cubic Yard Metal Bins, and 96 Gallons Residential Cans. Rates are based on bin size, quantity, and number of scheduled service calls. Full Payment may be required before delivery.

Kayenta’s Parks and Recreation department is committed to serving the best in community based recreational activities and facilities. Located at the Kayenta Community Center, there is a state of the art Skateboard & BMX park, a beatifully shaded Gazebo, fun playground, and an array of soccer and baseball fields. In keeping with family traditions of play, the Kayenta Township is pleased to have been a vital part in making such facilities a reality for all who wish to have a place to get the body moving.
