REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS BY THE KAYENTA TOWNSHIP COMMISSION FOR
CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS TO PERFORM INTERNAL AUDITING SERVICES.
The Kayenta Township Commission, a political subdivision municipality formed under Navajo Nation
Laws, is requesting for proposals from Certified Public Accountants to conduct internal auditing services
for the fiscal year 2022 (September year-end) with an option to extend the contract to fiscal years 2023,
2024, 2025, and 2026. The audits shall be conducted in accordance with Government Auditing
Standards (Yellow Book).
The selection and award process shall be in accordance with the Navajo Nation Business Preference Law
and the Navajo Preference in Employment Act. Proposals shall include but are not limited to the
following content: Statement of Qualification detailing knowledge, experience, and expertise; a list of
relevant projects, including contact name and telephone numbers for each project listed; cost
consideration such as hourly rates charged, and fees proposed; and evidence of required license,
certification, and registration.

choliday@kayentatownship-nsn.gov. Proposals will be accepted until 5:00 pm. (DST) on Friday,
September 13, 2024, at the following address: Kayenta Township Commission, PO Box 1490, Kayenta,
AZ 86033 and/or Kayenta Township, ¼ Mile North US Highway 163, Kayenta, AZ 86033. Please submit
four original copies of the proposal. KTC retains the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any
informality
